Love your poems! You manage to capture so much emotion in a small amount of words. You are very talented and I hope you never forget that!

Perhaps you are feeling the sorrow over the Doggist now because it feels safer to do so - you are stronger and happier than you were when it happened and so only now does your subconscious feel you can deal with all of the strong emotion involved. Just a theory.

I hope you enjoyed Noah!

Thank you for this so so much, yes to mocktails:) this " how can I belong when the wild of my being is only welcome if it’s tamed" I feel to my core. I feel like my reactions to the world around me are larger and more wild than people expect or want, and yet I feel so fiercely. I don't ever want to stop feeling that fiercely because that is a huge part of my advocacy for students, is that reaction to their needs. But it does often feel as if people don't want authentic empathetic feeling, they want the hurt of this world to be normalized.... that goes against my desire to build wonderful humans in this world

I feel very similar to Laura above, I used to be so much braver and more “wild” but I’ve kept scraping pieces of myself away to fit into everyone else’s ideas - sometimes what I assume they want me to be. I’m trying to figure out how to find my old me, and seeing and following along with your journey is a constant, “Shannon you can do this too!”

Also, I love your poems! They’re short but oh so powerful! Much love, and the weekend you need and deserve 💜

Looking forward to the 17th-it is a work day, but maybe I can squirrel away some time. In the meantime, the poetry hit the spot. Body as friend--whoa! A new approach for me and so appreciate of your candor as always.

(Let me know when you find a executive assistant within yourself and how you got there🤪).
