Love you. Always here if you need a bandaid. Have you heard of the other Japanese art, gyotaku, where they paint a fish and then press paper on it to make a print? Maybe you could do a human version (messy, I know). You could put paint on yourself and lie down on a big piece of paper. I bet when you look at that print, you’d see how beautiful you are, kintsugi places, and all.
Oh wow what a treat. I am so so very excited for the continued story of "Maura and Me" please let these words on pages heal you..let these words be the voice of yourself that you never even realized you've always had in you.
I've never heard the phrase breakdowns are breakthroughs and wow that is a really beautiful thing to hear amidst a difficult year. Thank you for being real with us and sharing your truth.
Sending all the love 💜💜💜 being human is hard and some days our minds are out of our reach…. Thank you for your words, honesty, and for reminding us to be honest with where we are at
This breaks my heart. On top of all the suffering, the suicide attempt, the actual suicide of Maura, to hear the brokenness of your dad when he realized…
Kate, you are a continuous work of art. Keep breathing, keep fighting, keep loving. I wait for these posts. I try not to bother you, because I know that you will post when you can (either here or on Insta). I hope in posting less, you are off line more. It’s so easy to get caught up in the pretend world we are all living in (in social media).
Continue to take care of yourself and work through what is needed. We are always here for you. Enjoy your pups and the daddy, the changing leaves, the crunch when walking.
I have been on disability since 18, and I pet sit on the side very part-time. I am 39, never finished college, and grew up in psych wards. I had a lot of ECT and lived in several residential facilities. My last hospitalization was 11 years ago. I am batshit mentally ill. You are amongst friends, Kate. ❤️ You are not alone. Thank you for being brave and sharing your stories and life with us. My world is brighter knowing that I am not alone— that you are here too.
Your posts are so relatable. I also have a serious mental illness and struggle with healing. Thank you for being you and being open about yourself so that people like me can see and relate. You're an amazing person and I'm glad you're going at a pace that's good for you for healing. I've been doing the same... Some days are easier than others. Warmest of well wishes to you. :)
Hi Kate. I totally feel and understand how you feel. You are not alone. This is so heartfelt and your inspiration is uplifting. It’s takes a or of courage for you to write this. I’m sending positive vibes, healing vibes, and virtual hugs to you. 💕
Thank you — so grateful you are here with me 💜💜💜
