Ok first, way to rock those mini skirts and page boy hair. Love it. Thank the universe for sending you Benjamin, and for your ability to learn early that dogs are angels on this earth (cats too, but I know that's not for this room, lol). It's amazing how much we know what we need, even when loving family and adults are not getting it. Being strong from such a young age has served you well and helped you survive. Every day you remind me to stand strong. Great post warrior sister!
Can’t begin to tell you excited I was to find your next chapter in my inbox! What a powerful and moving way to start my day! You obviously have a special relationship with dogs that goes above and beyond what most people experience. And I am so glad you found your words! 💜💜💜
Thank you so much for sharing this part of your story, it reminds me of the after school classes I took because I was so far behind in reading... now I am an English teacher
Your story (and adorable pictures as a kid) touch my heart so much. I taught 5th grade for years and you most definitely would have been in my class. They always gave me the “other” kids. And I loved them so.
First, what’s adorable little girl you were! Second, all dog people know that if you want to know the true character of a person, see if your dog likes them. Trouble and Benjamin knew! ❤️
I just want to take that little girl in the blue dress with red trim and cute little headband and squeeze her tight. Thanks for this story. I'm grateful to your parents and tutors for not giving up, but mostly to you and Benjamin, the team that wouldn't quit.
GR8 Kate - never ever would I have thought you had difficulty writing!!! Your persistence to push through started so young! A testament to YOU, and the love of a Furry Friend 💜
Your writing is an inspiration!! AND given that you struggled with reading and writing as a young girl shows your true persistence and unwavering attitude to survive as an adult ... in any endeavor you choose! I firmly believe that all dogs have a purpose and Benjamin was there to help you get through those "other" years. Can't wait for next week's installment (no pressure 😂)!! 💕💕
Gah!!! You give me life. ❤️❤️
💜💜💜💜💜
and you -- me!!
Kate you are amazing! You go girl!
Ahh Lynn!! Thank you so much for being here!
Your connection to dogs clearly goes far beyond words, Kate. Just beautiful.
💜💜💜
So grateful to have you here

💜💜💜 This made me tear up. I guess they did - far before I did but what a gift it was and still is to this day.
